The event catered to the need of sharing of ideas, formal presentations of newly developed concepts in the field of design engineering also a platform for acknowledgment of individuals / organizations for their work done in the field of architectural development.
The second session of ARCHi Talks was held at Agha Steel Corporate office on Saturday, August 12, 2017. It was a lovely gathering of senior academicians, practicing architects and professionals associated with infrastructural development, Design & Engineering consultancy firms and Developers.
Renowned Architect, Mr. Hafeez Habibi, Architect, Consultants Group, delivered a key note presentation on the topic of “The KNIP, Karachi Neighborhood Improvement Program” for the re-development of the historical buildings present in certain neighborhoods of Karachi. Mr. Habibi emphasized on the fact that how we are not industrialized like the west and major changes have to be done in order to bring the architecture back to life. The project is aimed to bring back the fearless and exciting day and nights back to the hub of the city.
The constraints and restrictions were also highlighted which have been the cause that those historic buildings and architecture have been left neglected.
Fellows from IVS, NESPAK and many other senior architects and professionals also graced the event by their kind presence, the talk session covered the conventional challenges and their practical solutions.
Mr. Hussain Agha, Executive Director, Agha Steel Industries joined the event virtually and shared his sincere gratitude to the participants for making the Talks an effective and productive gathering for sharing knowledge.
The Book “55 Architects of Pakistan” was presented to the guests at the event and the event ended up with a signing activity to share the consent for collaborative support.
