IAPEX 2017 (Build The Un-Built)

The wait for the biggest exhibition and conference of building materials got over on 14th April 2017 when the inauguration ceremony took place. The event was organized by IAP Karachi chapter at Expo Center Karachi. It was a 3 day event which lasted till 16th April 2017. There was International Conference and Forum on “The UN built” all 3 days. The participants of the exhibition were present from all industries which involve construction and architectural industries.

Agha Steel Industries (ASI) has always been there just not only to exhibit but also to add value in the event. This time ASI paid a tribute to the great architects of Pakistan, who made their enormous efforts and contribution in adding beauty to our beloved motherland, they sincerely applied their aesthetics in well beings of the project they did.

ASI had testimonials of these legends which were showcased on its exhibitor area just with intent, the world to know who the people behind such great projects are. All the architects and students who visited the event came to ASI’s stall as there was hype about the testimonial showcasing. In addition of this individuals were informed about success story of Agha Steel Industries and its quality products.

ASI contribution was not only appreciated by the architects, consultants, students and general visitors but also it was a great encouragement for the young architects and engineers to do much better.

Pakistan Day Celebrations at Sindbad

ASI Cares .. an initiative of Agha Steel Industries arranged Pakistan Day Celebrations at Sindbad-Gulshan on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Around 1000 kids from various orphanages and schools from less privileged areas attended the event.

Kids showcased their talent by national songs/tableau and cultural performances also enjoyed rides and facilities of Sindbad along with the management and staff of Agha Steel Industries.

The event was an opportunity to the kids to know the history of National Day and refresh the commitment to learn, grow and serve the nation with their best.

I Am Karachi and Sindbad-Gulshan management supported with their best in the successful execution of the event as strategic and operational partners.

IBA Career Fair 2017

Agha Steel industries participated at IBA Career Fair 2017 on Saturday March 11 2017. In pursuit of young and energetic business graduates which may add catalytic support to increase the pace of growth and development of Agha Steel Industries.

The activity was called Agha Steel Industries-HIRE which includes a series of activities by which the students were assessed in IQ, formal interview & EQ sessions. Through these call of actions ASI enabled to shortlist required individuals possess expected personal and professional skills.

The management, faculty and students shared their sincere gratitude on the participation of Agha Steel Industries with great ambiance and interactive activities.

Inauguration of Agha Steel Industries-Spectro Lab at NED University, Karachi

Karachi, March 7, 2017: Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit. Inaugurated Agha Steel Industries Spectro-Lab at Metallurgical Department at NED University. The Spectro-Lab is one of the state-of-the-art research and testing facility for the students and researchers of alma-mater.

Agha Steel Industries (ASI) has gifted NED-UET a Spectro Lab, which is the most trusted and accurate device to calculate impurities and other chemical elements in Steel. The state-of-the-art Spectro Meter will enhance the research of the production methods and techniques of all types of steel and ferrous products. This will further enhance our nation’s engineering capacity and will serve to strengthen the bond between industry and academia.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit expressed his gratitude on valuable support from industry to enhance the research and development facilities at the most prestigious engineering institute of Province Sindh.
He also shared his hope that the laboratory will extensively support students to experience real-time experiments for their progressive and productive academics during their stay at university.

Mr. Hussain Agha shared his views for making his noble contribution. He said “We believe that NED-UET is harbor of genius and skilled engineers for not only our beloved nation but for other countries of the world as well and we are with this alma-mater in developing more skillful and trained brains for the industry, ASI abridging the gap of industry-academia relationship in form of the Lab.
We shall also provide internship facility to the students of 3rd and 4th year and there shall be scholarship award for the students securing distinction marks.

Prof. Dr. Afzal Haque, Vice Chancellor NED-UET appreciated the kind consideration and contribution made by Agha Steel Industries for the betterment of industry-academia relations also for the improvement of research facilities at the campus.

Along with the Minister, Mr. Hussain Agha Executive Director-Agha Steel Industries along with Prof. Afzal Haque, Vice Chancellor NED-UET, Dean of Faculty Dr. Tufail, Department Chairman Dr. Syed Amir Iqbal, Deans of Faculties and Departmental Chairmen and other Faculty members attended the ceremony.

ASI Cares – Sea World (Dolphin Show)

ASI Cares… an initiative of Agha Steel Industries and Agha Welfare Trust organized a dedicated show of Sea World (Dolphin Show) for more than 1500 children from various orphanages, less privileged schools, homeless children and kids with special needs on 31st January 2017 at Maritime Museum Karachi.

The show was truly a source to bring smiles on the faces of young souls and make them amused with the brilliant performance of sea mammals. The show not only brings an exciting tour in their lives but also an understanding to get familiar with the speeches from Deep Ocean.

Agha Steel Industries and Aga Welfare Trust committed to bring exciting opportunities of learning and amusement for the kids in pursuit of its slogan “Values Stronger than Steel”. Mr. Hussain Agha Executive Director of Agha Steel industries shared his views while welcoming the audience.

Karachi: Agha Steel Industries-Peshawar region Team has won the National One Day Cup 2017 against Karachi Whites at the final match played at National Stadium Karachi on Friday, January 27, 2017.

Peshawar Region team was sponsored by Agha Steel Industries, which performed a great passion of cricket and utmost team work shown by each player to make this successful happen.

NFEH’s 9th CSR Summit & Awards-2017

Agha Steel Industries and Agha Welfare Trust have been recognized and honored via award presented by NFEH National Forum for Environment and Health on the occasion of NEFH 9th CSR Summit & Awards 2017 which held on 19th January 2017 at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. Pakistan’s 55 most prestigious companies with significant contributions for social development conferred at the event.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development was the Chief Guest at the ceremony, further accompanying personnel’s were Chairman FPCCI President Zubair Tufail, Secertary Ministry of Climate Change Syed Abu Akif, Governor KPK Zafar Iqbal Jhagra and many other Senior Officials were also present at the event.

The participants and dignitaries appreciated the services and facilitation contributed by Agha Dialysis Center body of Agha Welfare Trust for making commendable efforts for serving the noble cause in the society, since September 2015 after its inception; ADC has served more than 5500 dialysis free-of-cost in addition of socio-physical counselling of the patients and their family members.




ASI organizes 3-Bahadur screening for Orphanages

AGHA STEEL INDUSTRIES organized dedicated show of the movie 3 Bahadur for the kids of various orphanage houses and less privileged schools (including: Charter for Compassion, School of Champions, Hawa Bai Academy, Sweet Home Foundation and Anfas Ocean Welfare) at Capri Cinema on Monday 26th December 2016. Family members and siblings of ASI officials also accompanied at the show.

This gathering was aimed to add a positive synergy in the youth and to give them an opportunity to celebrate the Quaid-e-Azam day in a manner to watch a movie which is powerful, positive and a promising message. The event was managed by ‘ASI Cares’ Team. Children enjoyed the movie as well as the mascots; the presence of the mascots was surprising for the children. They were amazed to see and meet the animated movie characters in real.
